Trip durations are shown as nights but labeled as days

Nomads calculates trip duration by subtracting the arrival date from the departure date. This excludes one endpoint, so a trip from 14 June to 11 July is displayed as 27 days, although it spans 28 calendar days inclusively.

This is potentially misleading because many countries count both the entry and exit dates when calculating permitted stays. Users relying on the displayed number could underestimate their immigration stay by one day per trip.

Expected behavior:

  • Label the current calculation as “nights”; or

  • Display both values, for example: “27 nights / 28 calendar days”; or

  • Provide an inclusive “immigration days” count for visa tracking.
