Immunity for newbies until firsts shots fired

It takes 2 minutes to catch the speed to leave the ground and then you die immediately. It's not fun - it's frustrating.

How about: people can only get shot down after they fire shots first - if you a pacifist just flying around you are save. You can mark pacifists with different color so others know they cannot be shoot yet. That would give everyone more fair chances to catch the wind under their wings.
